A szuezi válság és a budapesti 1956-os szabadságharc összefüggései Egyiptom újabb külügyi és elnöki levelezésében

The main objective of this study is to show the close interconnection between the Suez Crisis and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. The relationship was of significant importance in influencing the Soviet decision to use brutal force to suppress the Hungarian Revolution. Here, I focus on how the Top Secret reports of Egypt's diplomatic missions to Budapest, Moscow, Belgrade and New York portrayed the Suez-Budapest twin crisis and the related influential factors. In this article I used, first of all, the unique materials contained documents of the Foreign Ministry of Egypt which can be found in the Egyptian National Archives concerning the Egyptian-Hungarian relations in 1956–1957.
