Abstract:
Geodynamic, geomorphological, fluvial and anthropogenic processes are contributing to development of dynamic landscapes which are always in the focus of research. The Danube Bend has been the topic of the scientific debates. The interplay of ongoing uplift and the incision of the Danube has created the steep slopes that are in critical/subcritical state in terms of mass movements. The recent landslide event showed that the research of the (in)equilibrium of slopes is an important issue.
