| Abstract dc.description.abstract | Magyarországon a második világháború előtt a különböző közgyűjtemények (könyvtárak, levéltárak, múzeumok) számára egyetemi szinten nem képeztek szakembereket. A koalíciós időszakban 1945 és 1948 között nem került sor a magyar felsőoktatás átfogó reformjára. Az első reformjavaslatok kidolgozása már 1947-ben megkezdődött, de az elképzelések megvalósítására csak azután került sor, hogy kialakult az állampárti diktatúra. 1949-ben született meg az a kormányrendelet, amely engedélyezte a könyvtárosok egyetemi képzését. A rendelet szerint a Pázmány Péter (1950 szeptemberétől Eötvös Loránd) Tudományegyetemen könyvtáros-, levéltáros- és muzeológusképzés indult. Az első könyvtáros hallgatók az 1948/49-es tanév második félévében kezdték meg könyvtárosi tanulmányaikat ötéves, kétszakos képzésben. Az egymást követő reformok hullámain az 1950/51-es tanévben négyéves kétszakos, az 1951/52-es tanévtől, az 1953/54-es tanévig egyszakos, ötéves, az 1954/55-ös és a következő tanévben négyéves kétszakos volt a képzés. 1956 után Kovács Máté tanszékvezetése alatt újabb reform következett. A Bölcsészettudományi Karon történt átszervezés következtében 1949. októberében 13 intézet jött létre, köztük a Könyvtártudományi Intézet. Az intézet élén Varjas Béla és Telegdi Zsigmond egyetemi magántanárok álltak. A további átszervezések után az intézetből tanszék lett. | hu_HU |

| Abstract in English dc.description.abstracteng | Prior to World War II there was no university education for public collection (libraries, archives, museums) experts in Hungary. No extensive reform took place in the Hungarian higher education during the so-called coalition era, between 1945 and 1948. The first reform proposals appeared in 1947 but they came into force only after the one-party state dictatorship came to power. The government decree establishing the university training of librarians was issued in 1949. According to the decree, the training of librarians, archivists and museologists was launched at the Pázmány Péter University (known as Eötvös Loránd University from September, 1950). The first librarian students began their five-year-long, two-major training during the second semester of the academic year 1948–1949. On the waves of the different reforms following each other, the training was four-year-long and two-major in the academic year 1950–1951, from 1951–1952 until 1953–1954 it was fiveyear- long and single subject, while in 1954–1955 and the years following it was four-year-long and two-major. Another reform took place under the leadership of Máté Kovács as the head of department. Thirteen institutes came into existence, one of them was the Institute of Library and Information Science, as the result of the reorganization at the Faculty of Humanities in October 1949. Béla Varjas and Zsigmond Telegdi were the heads of the institute as university private teachers. The institute became a department after further reorganizations. | hu_HU |
