Assessing psychopathy in women: an investigation of CAPP and TriPM

Abstract

While being one of the most researched personality disorders, most conceptualizations and measures of psychopathy is based on data obtained from male samples. As fewer women than men meet the criteria of psychopathy when being assessed, the question is whether this is simply due to a lower prevalence of psychopathy in women, or whether the current psychopathy constructs do not sufficiently detect how psychopathy is manifested in women.
