Abstract:
This thesis examines the relevance of delayed speech production in Hungarian day-cares and also compare this phenomenon with American toddlers’ speech delay production. My hypothesis is that more children are speaking later nowadays. Based on the theoretical literature, the early detection of delayed speech production is extremely important since not being able to speak clearly and well (or at all) can affect a child’s life.
