Az 50/I. zászlóalj katonái elleni háborús bűnös perek a gajszini tömeggyilkosságok ügyében

Abstract:
The Hungarian and the Soviet Courts called the members of the I/50 battalions
to account in the second half of the 1940s and at the beginning of the
1950s, because these units were involved in the liquidation of ghettos in
Gaysin and in its countryside. I study one Soviet und three Hungarian trials.
In my paper I will demonstrate the progress and attributes of the post-war
impeachment. The political police investigated the war crimes between 1947
and 1953 ambivalent(ly), because the investigations often characterized the
deficit of consistence and professionalism. The investigation authorities used
several times duress against the defendants. By these incidents I do not only
deal with the violence, but also with the concept, which this violence aimed
at. I study the trials circumstantially. I demonstrate the difference and correspondence
of the different courts. I analyse the factors of adjudications, what
were the aggravating and extenuating circumstances in the people’s courts
and the military courts.
