| Kivonat angolul dc.description.abstracteng | The author gives a comparative analysis of the positions and prospects of the main problems in the history of World War I in the contemporary historiography of Germany and Russia (in the last 20 years). The author concludes that not only do German historians focus on historical events but also mentality in the context of contemporary research approaches: anthropological history, the history of everyday life, history from "below", the history of experiences (emotions) and suffering, history of violence and imprisonment.
