| Kivonat angolul dc.description.abstracteng | The Карта Мира /World Map was a map series on scale 1:2,500,000, what was elaborated in the cooperation of various socialist countries: Hungary, German Democratic Republic, Soviet Union, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland and Czechoslovakia as well. The map series contained with the overlapping sheets 262 sheets (224 normal sheets and 38 overlapping sheets). The sheets of the first edition were published between 1964 and 1976. The editorial board meetings were between 1963 and 1979 in different cities of the participant countries. The head person of these meetings was Alexander Radó, the other member of the Hungarian delegation was Árpád Papp-Váry in the last years of the project. He participated on these meetings as the deputy of Radó from 1973. In the earlier years of the project edited Papp-Váry more sheets of the map-serie, for example he elaborated the Winnipeg-sheet.
