Abstract:
Este trabajo analiza la evocación eficaz de las estructuras del pensamiento infantil en
los cuentos fantásticos incluidos en el primer libro de Silvina Ocampo, a partir de los aportes de la
psicología cognitiva de Jean Piaget. Muchos personajes de Viaje Olvidado se comportan y razonan
como si comprendieran la realidad de una manera prelógica, egocéntrica, animista, atomista,
concreta y acumulativa. Aquí los niños son portadores de un discurso en el que se torna evidente la
literalidad con que comprenden la metáfora y el símbolo, rasgo que, según Tzvetan Todorov,
también es propio de la literatura fantástica.
Abstract:
This work analyzes the effective evocation of the structures of the infantile thinking
in fantastic short stories included in the first book of Silvina Ocampo. Contributions of the
cognitive psychology of Jean Piaget will be developed. Many characters of Viaje Olvidado behave
and think as if they understood the reality in a pre-logic, self-centred, animistic, atomist, concrete
and cumulative way. Here, children have a discourse in which the literalness in the understanding
of the metaphor and the symbol become evident. According to Tzvetan Todorov, this point is
central in fantastic Literature.
